ROSTERS!

  • A full roster consists of between 12-14 players
  • All players must be at least 18 years of age at/before the start of a league or tournament
  • Co-ed rosters may not exceed a gendered ratios greater than 2:1
  • Teams weave/alternate between their women and men squadies
  • Teams may field no more than 10 defenders while in the field; of which no more than 6 may be of the same gender
  • During the designated "regular season" teams may utilize non rostered subs
  • During the designated "playoff period" teams are restricted to rostered teammates only
  • Once a the game has begun your batting order may only be altered in these situations;
    • Late Arrival/Addition - they are added to the end of their gendered batting order as long as the first batter of that gender has not batted twice
    • Injury - Dropped from the lineup, may not re-enter. Teams will not be penalized an out when it would otherwise be their turn to bat
    • Ejection - Removed from lineup for the game, may not re-enter. Team will be penalized an out when it would be their turn to bat

Equipment & The Field

  • NO METAL CLEATS!
    • First Offense - warning and player will be asked to change footwear
    • Second Offense - Ejected from the game
    • Third Offense - Player forfeits the remainder of the season OR the following season if the current season is over 50% played
  • Shoes are required
  • Teams should be wearing similar or like uniforms during the game
  • Bats
    • We will compression test bats before they are able to be used in play
      • We align with, but are not governed, sanctioned or affiliated with ASA standards for bats
  • Game Balls are provided by the league
    • GTSS leagues and tournaments are played with a 12" .52 COR 300 lb COMP ball - "Hot Dots" are our preferred ball
  • The Field
    • Bases are 60 ft
    • Pitching Stripe is ~50 ft from the front of home plate
    • An outfield line will be sprayed in an arc from foul line to foul line. This is the closest the outfield is permitted to be before the ball is hit
    • The designated infield area will be confirmed before the game. Players designated as infielders will need to remain in this area before the ball is hit
    • Any special field conditions (out of play zones, hazards, etc) will be discussed between the captains and umpire prior to first pitch
    • The Orange Safety base at first is out of play for fielders. Base runners should aim for this part of the base when running through the bag
    • Home plate AND the strike mat are considered in play for both runners and fielders
  • Avoid collisions whenever and as much as possible!!
